July 27 and 28, end of a ca. 4000-mile trip
Ann and I traveled on July 27 from Montana to Colorado, stopping in Wellington, Colorado, about an hour from Denver, and overnighting in a KOA campground. We put back our last leg on August 28, reaching the Denver airport at about noon, where I treated Ann to lunch before saying goodbye and seeking out gate A49. It is now 3:00 p.m., and my flight is not till 7:25 p.m., so I have some time to catch up with correspondence and this blog. I miss the mountains already, but am looking forward to the next and last travel destination of this summer--San Francisco, sojourning with Maureen Fromme. I will be there from August 2-11. The summer has flown very fast, but I have added a few more treaured destinations to my list of must-sees accomplished. Stay tuned for the last leg in a few days. Tata!
