July 20, Glacier National Park, West side

Today we left St. Mary and traveled to the west side of the park, making our base of operations the Apgar Visitor Center, from where we took the shuttle and stopped at Apgar Village, Sprague Creek Campground, and Lake McDonald Lodge, where we toured our third lodge, had a lunch at one of the restaurants in the lodge, and then took a boat ride on Lake McDonald.  From the Apgar Center it was only a short drive to the KOA campground, where we are currently overnighting before leaving for Canada tomorrow. We have eaten a splendid dinner at a restaurant in the campground, and my steak and corn on the cob were marvelous.  Ann didn't particularly like her trout, though, and I am sorry for that. Currently, I am sitting at a picnic table writing this, and Ann is scouting out the campground and hooking up water and electricity for the night.  Long for a shower and hot water, but the showers present a bit of a hike from where we are situated, so I might wait until the morning.  Good night, all. It may be a few days before I write again, depending on the Internet / Wifi situation in the future.
