Greek trip, June 10-26. Entry: June 10-11

As I am writing this block four days behind schedule, I probably will not go into as much detailed as usual, though I cannot guarantee that.  Upon arrival in Athens, which was at 9:05, we transfered by bus to the Divani Acropolis Hotel, in the shadow of the Parthenon, which we are exploring when we return to Athens later in the trip.  Jetlag, of course, always sets in, but my roommate Suzanne and I walked the Plaka and later had dinner at the Hotel Hera, which had a rooftop restaurant looking onto the Parthenon, which was lit as the sun set.  Glorious site!
