July 28: Hamilton, Boston, Philadelphia, Dallas
It is 3:25, and I am at Logan Airport awaiting an AA flight to Philadelphia and a change of planes there to Dallas. Marthe and Josh just dropped me off. I packed this morning and spent a leisurely morning marveling at Josh’s office, as he is an investor specialist who keeps track of the stock market all day long. Most of his explanations about the inner workings of the industrial world were lost on me, as if they were Greek, but I did marvel at the fact that he faces six computers every day to take care of his job. And the office is in walking distance of their house, which is a definite plus.
Once we got home, Josh and Marthe prepared a wonderful lunch together, put together entirely of leftovers from last night’s repast—salad, chicken with chutney, and some of Marthe’s homemade wine to accompany it. Marthe and Josh, facing another round of slow traffic to Boston, got me to the airport in plenty of time, and here I sit cooling my heels. One more trip coming up—my 6th and final visit to Houston, this time by Megabus from August 1-5. Then back to school soon after. I hope everyone has enjoyed my new format of travel reportage, this time with applicable photos. My last blog of the season will begin August 1 and end August 5.
Au revoir for now, my friends! SV
