August 17, and a day before the start of school

It has been a few days since I wrote my last entry.  The first day of school awaits on Wednesday, August 19.  Today is Alexandra's 26th birthday, and she is celebrating it in Cleveland.  Tempus fugit, and the hand of time moves on, inexorably.  Am already starting to look at next year and possible travel venues.  Meanwhile, the following German saying has become my motto:

"Ferne Reisen machen weise;
Die Propeller drehen sich;
Das Flugzeug gewinnt an Höhe;
Reisen bedeutet Leben."

Translation:

"Far-away voyages create wisdom;
The propellers whirl;
The plane gains altitude;
Travel means Life!"
